Dolciaria Quaranta marked its centennial with the unforgettable “Hands in Dough” workshop for our esteemed customers. Designed to strengthen the connection between our clients and our craft, this event provided an in-depth look into the heritage and innovative spirit that have shaped our brand for a hundred years.

Exploring the Roots of Tradition
Since 1924, the Quaranta family has been synonymous with high-quality confectionery delights. Founded by Antonio Quaranta and his wife Alzira, our humble beginnings featured traditional sweets like cotton candy, brittle, and our distinctive carob honey nougat. This workshop allowed us to showcase these origins and the evolution of our products.

Interactive Nougat Making Experience
Event participants had a rare opportunity to dive into the heart of Quaranta production by directly engaging in the nougat making process. Under the guidance of our expert artisans, they crafted their own Nougat Passion® cakes, using freshly made nougat and choosing quality dried fruits to adorn their creations—a testament to the skill and precision required in our craft.

 

Celebration of Tradition and Innovation
The workshop was not just a return to our roots; it was a celebration of ongoing innovation. At Quaranta, we are committed to blending traditional methods with cutting-edge techniques to create products that exceed expectations and set new market trends. Our workshop highlighted how traditional recipes, like the almond nougat recipe No. 101, have stood the test of time, remaining unchanged yet still popular after a century.

The highlight of the event was the competition where participants’ creations were judged. Congratulations to Sarah Breadmore, Ellen Huurman, and Salvatore Raho, whose exceptional skills earned them the top spots. Their creations exemplified the mix of tradition and personal touch that Quaranta represents.
