THE STORY OF A FAMILY AND A PASSION
LA VITA DOLCE
In 1924, the history of the Quaranta family’s nougat began in Caravaggio, the hometown of the famous painter Michelangelo Merisi, known as Caravaggio.
A century of tradition and dedication.
The founder, Antonio Quaranta, together with his wife Alzira, devoted himself to the artisanal production of nougat and other traditional sweets from the confectionery heritage of Cremona and Bergamo, including cotton candy, brittle, and the special nougat made with carob honey.
In a small workshop in the heart of Caravaggio’s historic center, their recipe book was born, complete with precise measurements and ingredients, some of which are still used today.
After almost 100 years, the recipe No. 101 for soft almond nougat remains unchanged!
