We are seeking a Skilled Production Line Supervisor to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the following operational tasks:
- Operational Supervision: ensuring the correct functioning of sections across two production lines for crunchy and soft nut-based bars, specifically focusing on raw material preparation and dough processing.
- Team Management: supervising, managing, and supporting work teams (2 teams of 3 operators each).
- Operational Continuity: providing backup during breaks and/or in the event of operator absence.
- Maintenance & Setup: managing format changes and performing minor preventive maintenance.
- Documentation: managing paper-based production forms.
- Digital Reporting: data entry for job progress and closing, as well as monitoring production parameters and indices.
- Quality & Safety Standards: managing operations in compliance with HACCP standards and related CCPs, ensuring full traceability.
- Health & Safety Compliance: overseeing all requirements according to DL 81 (PPE, training, and workplace behavior).
- Cleaning: ensuring the cleanliness of the work area.
The production lines are state-of-the-art (the second was installed in 2024), technologically advanced, and operate within an Industry 4.0 environment. All machinery is interconnected, equipped with PLCs, remote management capabilities, and operated via touch interfaces.
Excellent command of the Italian language is required.
Production operates on three shifts (morning, afternoon, and night) from Monday to Saturday. The candidate must be available to work on a rotating schedule across all shifts, including the third shift (10:00 PM to 06:00 AM).
The company holds the highest ratings in BRC and IFS standards and produces private labels for major Italian and international retailers. The candidate will report directly to the Production Manager and will work alongside five shift supervisors and/or department heads. Technical maintenance is handled by a dedicated team of maintenance technicians.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience: At least 5 years of specific experience in a similar role.
- Sector: Background in FOOD, PHARMACEUTICAL, or PET FOOD industries.
- Technical Skills: Strong manual dexterity and ability to operate complex machinery.
- Digital Literacy: Confidence with basic IT tools.
- Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence in managing interpersonal relationships and low absenteeism rates.
